The AF300 is the one most households should buy: two 3.8-litre drawers, 1.8kg of chips and more owner reviews than any other air fryer sold here, at around $249. The DoubleStack SL400 holds the most food of the lot at 4.6kg despite being the narrowest machine, because it stacks two layers per drawer. The AF500 is the only one whose drawers combine into a single large zone. The Crispi is a different idea entirely.

AF300 Dual Zone
The default. Two independent 3.8-litre drawers, six programs, 40 to 240°C, and the Match and Sync functions that let two dishes finish together. Owners rate it 4.8 from more than 870 reviews, the largest pool of any air fryer on the shelf.
It is the smallest of the dual machines at 7.6 litres, and a whole chicken is a squeeze.

SL400 DoubleStack
The clever one. Two drawers, each with a rack so you can cook two layers per drawer, which is how a 9.5-litre machine holds 4.6kg of food, more than the 10.4-litre AF500. It is 286mm wide, the narrowest air fryer here.
The trade-off is depth and height: 488mm deep and 385mm tall, so it wants a spot with clearance rather than a narrow gap. Its owner score is the lowest of the five, though still 4.7.

AF400 Foodi Max XXXL
The AF300 scaled up: two 4.75-litre drawers, 9.5 litres total, 2.8kg of chips, and the same six programs and 240°C ceiling. Owners rate it 4.9 from 285 reviews.
At 415mm it is the widest of the drawer machines, and it uses the same 1670 watts as the smaller AF300 to heat more space.

AF500 Flexi Drawer
The only Ninja whose drawer works both ways: a divider splits 10.4 litres into two zones, or comes out to make one MegaZone big enough for a 2.7kg chicken with vegetables. Seven programs including Proof and Keep Warm, and 2470 watts, the most powerful here.
It is 497mm deep, and its button controls are less pleasant than the AF300's touch panel.

Not a drawer machine. A PowerPod clamps onto borosilicate glass containers that go from freezer to bench to table, with leak-proof lids for storage. Four functions, 3.8 litres total.
It suits one or two people, meal prep and taking a dish somewhere. It will not cook for a family.

Which one to buy
Most households: AF300. Two drawers, the best-evidenced air fryer here, and enough capacity for three or four people.
Big households or batch cooking: SL400 DoubleStack. It holds more than machines a litre larger and takes the least bench width.
Roasting whole birds: AF500. The combining drawer is the only way to get a single large cavity in this range.

FAQs
Is DualZone worth it over a single basket?
Yes for most people. Two drawers give twice the floor area in the same box, and air fryers cook by moving air around food in a shallow layer, so floor area is the limit rather than volume.
What is the difference between Match and Sync?
Match copies one drawer's settings to the other. Sync runs two different programs and delays the shorter one so both finish at the same moment.
Do Ninja drawers go in the dishwasher?
